Most dentists would agree that understanding a particular patient's occlusion is most challenging and critical for the successful outcome and longevity of the case. This is true from simple direct restorations to fixed/removable prosthodontic cases to implant restorations. Yet, most dentists are not satisfied with the occlusion knowledge they got from dental school or usual continuing education courses.
This course will introduce general dentists to occlusal concepts that can be applied to natural dentition and complex implant cases. Such occlusal understandings are especially helpful for treatment planning and execution of implant cases. This course is well suited for those who wish to have better understanding of occlusion physiology.
Topics covered:
- Occlusal Challenges in implant dentistry
- Review of physiology of occlusion
- Review of occlusal concepts critical to implant dentistry
- Treatment planning & case reviews
