The following are the Continuing Education (CE) Credits requirement for Dental professionals in Utah, USA in 2024.

Dentists

Dentists in Utah must complete a specified number of continuing education credits to maintain their licensure, as mandated by the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL).

• Credit Requirements: Dentists must complete 30 CE credits biennially (every two years).
• Categories: These credits must include:
  • At least 2 hours in ethics and professional responsibility.
  • At least 2 hours in opioid prescribing and substance abuse, if holding a DEA registration.
  • The remaining credits can be earned through live interactive courses, online courses, webinars, or self-study, provided they are approved by the Board.

Dental Hygienists
