Hello everyone, I need advice based upon your experiences. I had the continued patient come in as limited exam as her old filling fell out with recurrent decay on #29. We took care of her on the same day. We numbed her with IAN and LN with mental nerve block since we already know that the patient’ teeth super sensitive. Everything went well while we finished the treatment.
Four days later, the patient came back and mentioned that she cannot taste her food. She doesn’t feel anything on the right side. We checked it and told her that it could be a bit of nerve irritation and would take time to get healed. The patient has been googling and getting panicked about the incident. She is coming back for re eval. It is almost 10 days after that incident happened. My question is what precautions I should take and what should I do that the patient will be taken care of. Just panicking that what if she sues us.
Any advice will be appreciated.
